Peter McCory is a
one-man band performing for kids and families. Since 1996 he's been
playing music kids love -- lively, upbeat renditions of familiar children's songs, folk songs and his own
award-winning original music for kids. His two recordings of original songs have both won
Parents' Choice Awards and positive national reviews. Whatever he plays, his interactive
and educational performances are tons of FUN! While singing and strumming guitar or banjo, he's
also tooting harmonicas, kazoos and whistles. Then, with his feet, he plays drums,
cymbals and cow bell... all at the same time!
Based in Warrenton, Virginia -- about 50 miles southwest of Washington, DC -- Peter
shares his music wherever kids gather. Whether it's several hundred kids at a school
assembly, or a half dozen at a birthday party, his goal is simply a good time
for all! And it's all educational, too. Kids learn about music and instruments, and
about songcrafting and writing skills.
Peter's primary audience is children 2 to 12 years old. But Peter McCory is a
musical treat for the whole family as well. Moms, dads, siblings and grandparents
enjoy his shows just as much... sometimes more! He's also becoming pretty popular
at senior citizen centers (afterall, we're all kids, no matter the age!).
