Peter's Award-Winning Recordings for Children
Peter has a brand new CD out! His latest collection of original songs for kids is called
"Get All Happy!". It was officially released December 19, 2009, and is Peter's
third CD. This one was a long time in the making, but features 18 brand new songs, many of which
were written for specific places where Peter performs, or for particular themes. It's an upbeat
collection, with lots of songs to make kids want to giggle and wiggle and squirm. Peter is thrilled
to have it finished, as many little fans have been asking for several years when he was going to
have another CD out. There is information below on where you can get it. This if the first of Peter's
CDs that will be available for digital download (iTunes, etc.), but soon he hopes to have his other
two CDs available that way, too.
"Being a guy who still plays records and strums guitar through a vacuum tube amplifier,
I guess I'm a little slow to adopt the latest technology," Peter jokes. "But I guess it's
time I came into the new century and gave my friends what they want. Lots of families ask me if my songs
are avilable for download. However ever you get them, I hope you enjoy them."
Peter owes lots of thanks to his friend Brad Englander at Bassmental Studios, Great Falls, VA, for the
terrific job he did in recording this CD. He thinks this is his best CD yet!
Both of his first two recordings,
"Fingernail Fairy" and "The Big Blue Ball" were awarded a Parents' Choice
Recommended Awards. The Parents' Choice Foundation is an independent organization that rates children's media
matierals. Both CDs also receied positive reviews in School Library Journal, and Booklist Magazine
(the journal of the American Library Association). They are favorites with kids, families, librarians
and teachers.
